Your Rights

Access to training and promotion at work

Your employer is not allowed to refuse you access to training, or to refuse you a promotion, because of your sexual orientation or gender identity.

Your employer is not allowed to discriminate against you either directly or indirectly. Indirect discrimination is when an employer sets out a particular benchmark for a benefit or a promotion that everyone has to meet, but that one group cannot meet so easily because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
