Strathclyde Gay and Lesbian Switchboard was established in 1976 as a support service for people in the West of Scotland experiencing problems relating to sexuality. Today, Switchboard offers a wide range of services to lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transvestites, transsexuals and their families and friends. Four phone lines are open every night of the year from 7pm until 1Opm and all the calls are confidential. Switchboard is a member of the British Association of Counselling and the Scottish Switchboards Association.
