SaltireBlue Motorcycle Club was founded in August 2007 by three gay bikers from Edinburgh and Glasgow. Our first club run didn't break any records for distance. It was just an afternoon ride from Aberfoyle to Stronachlachar.
If you are thinking about become a member, then you should know that we have no restrictions as to the size, make or model of the motorcycle you own. Similarly we have no constraints regarding styles of riding, what you wear, your age, gender, ethnic background or sexuality.

Our Aims
The aim of SaltireBlue MCC has always been clear. We want to share the enjoyment of motorcycling in Scotland with other Scottish lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender bikers.
Being a Scottish motorcycle club we appreciate the large distances which separate some members. So we try to be imaginative with our diary of events so that there is some which caters for as many people as possible.
We often have one-day bike runs which set off from Stirling or Gourock. Half-day and evening club runs are proving to be popular during the summer when it stays lighter for longer. Members are now exploring motorcycling weekends which incorporate another event, for example a bike rally or a music festival. A variety of accommodation is also considered, from camping to budget hotels. So there is something to cater for all tastes and budget.
Due to our modern lifestyles we understand that it is not possible for everyone to bike at the weekend. So we encourage members to arrange bike runs for weekdays when they're available.
In August 2009 SaltireBlue has 20 members across Scotland. Our membership includes lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender bikers who ride a diverse range of motorcycles from 250cc to 1600cc machines. Some are new to biking and have only recently past their tests, whilst others have been motorcycling for more years that we care to remember.
Living in Scotland we know that we don't often get great weather. So when the sun shines we want to take full advantage of it. That's why SaltireBlue MCC promotes the use of the web, email, SMS texts and telephone, so that members can notify each other about bike runs at very short notice.
