We are a small group of queers, dissatisfied with the commercial gay scene. We started up a year ago, because going to CC's makes us want to slit our wrists. We thought, if something's wrong - FIX IT.

Since then, we started having free parties, upstairs in the Forest Cafe, we try to have them on a monthly basis, but sometimes we fail.

Our parties are cool, you should come.

We give out lots of free tasty vegan food
It's BYOB (probably best to bring a bottle opener too)
...and there's no corkage fee.
We play a mish mash of electro and punk with a few cheesy songs slipped in there for good measure
Local bands play too!
We normally request that you leave your inhibitions at home.

Apart from parties, we have socials at the Autonomous Centre of Edinburgh (ACE). It's where we organise our meetings, we sometimes watch films and there's an occasional book group.

We always want more people to be involved, and new ideas.

Queer Mutiny is for queers of ALL sexualities.
We are an anti-commercial, non-hierarchical DIY collective.

We like: diversity, perversity, de-gendering, the gender devoid, androgyny, abolishing domesticated gender traits, doing it ourselves, doing each other, freeques, punks, boys in skirts, girls in suits, supporting sex workers, transpeople and weirdos.

We don't like: consumerism, patriarchy, racism, homophobia, assimilation, representation, the preconceptions that claim to be the "gay lifestyle", business as usual, heteronormality, homonormality, things that are restrictive to our sexualities and separatist "feminists
