LGBT Domestic Abuse Project

LGBT Health Organisations, Scotland
Tel: 0141 548 8121 Email: info@lgbtdomesticabuse.org.uk
The LGBT Domestic Abuse Project was set up in 2007 to raise awareness of domestic abuse in lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender relationships and work with support agencies to be able to offer LGBT people a good service when seeking help for domestic abuse. We work in partnership with Stonewall Scotland, the Equality Network, Scottish Women’s Aid and the Scottish Government’s Violence Against Women Team.

Over the last few years the project has been working closely with agencies who offer support to people experiencing domestic abuse, training them to understand the additional barriers and issues for LGBT people experiencing domestic abuse throughout the country.

We have also worked closely with Police forces across Scotland providing training and encouraging LGBT people to report domestic abuse to the Police.
