Working with older lesbians, gay men, bisexual men and women
and transgendered (LGBT) people in the North of Scotland

Highland Rainbow Folk is a joint working group of Age Concern and Help the Aged in Scotland and Terrence Higgins Trust, working to raise awareness of issues facing older lesbians, gay men, bisexual men and women and transgendered people.

The group is mixed aged and is currently working on a brochure for Health and Social Care providers to highlight the issues and raise awareness.

The group is planning possible awareness raising courses/training and events in the future.

We feel that older LGBT people are often not heard and hope to look at other ways to improve the situation for this marginalised group.

We hold monthly meetings in Inverness. LGBT people of all ages are welcome to attend.
