The Gay Police Association in Scotland is part of the national Gay Police Association. Formed in 1990, the aims of the GPA are:
- To work towards equal opportunities for gay police service employees
- To offer advice and support to gay police service employees
- To work towards better relations between the police service and the gay community
The work of the GPA is supported by the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland (ACPOS) and the Scottish Government.

Membership is open to all police officers and support staff, serving or retired, regardless of sexual orientation or gender. All membership applications will be properly vetted. Rules and Conditions apply. Membership is free.
