How To Use This Site

This site is for all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in Scotland; our friends, families, and allies; national and local LGBT organisations and communities; and public bodies, employers, and service providers.

This site is very newly live, and you may find errors that the programmers and ourselves have  not yet discovered and fixed. If you would like to help us resolve any problems, please copy any error text that you may find into  an e-mail, briefly describe what you were doing when  the error occurred, and e-mail to developers@scottishlgbt.org. 

Events is an online calendar LGBT community events and equality-related LGBT-inclusive events from other strands. If you want to add your event to the calendar, you only have to register and click on the Events Organiser button at the foot  of any page. Your event should be approved within 1 working day. You can view the Events calendar here.

You can register using a valid e-mail address. You need not provide any other information. For legal reasons we need to ask for your date of birth, but this will not be displayed. You can register here.

Community provides links, articles, and information on events of interest to the LGBT communities in Scotland. If you would like to contribute an article to this section, please register and e-mail jane@equality-network.org asking to be added as a volunteer. You can view the Community pages here.

LGBT Organisations is a listing of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and LGBT-friendly organisations in Scotland. If you would like to see your organisation listed in the Directory, please e-mail jane@equality-network.org. You can view the  LGBT Organisations Directory here.

Need Help Now is still under development. This section is intended to provide information and links if you have an immediate problem or difficulty. If you have a query that you would like to see answered in this section, we invite you to send it to us anonymously.

Your Rights is an outline of your legal rights as an LGBT person in Scotland. This section is under development and will be completed by March 2010.

Good Practice provides guidance on LGBT inclusion and best practice towards LGBT employees and service users. This section is under development and will be completed by March 2010.

Resources and research is an online library that will include all the resources produced by the three national LGBT organisations in Scotland, with additional resources produced by local organisations, allies and supporters where available.
