These are a selection of the events at this year's Fringe Festival that may appeal to an LGBT audience.

The Worst Place in the World to be Gay?

Saturday 13 August, 12.30–1.30pm at St John’s Church (Venue 127)
As part of the Festival of Spirituality and Peace, Bishop Senyonjo, who has been speaking out for LGBT human rights in Uganda for which he was sent into exile: in conversation with John Watson from Amnesty International.

Gender Identity in Modern Society

Sunday 14th August, 8:30pm, Banshee Labyrinth, 29-35 Niddry Street
Jennie Kermode of Trans Media Watch joins Skeptics in the Pub to discuss "Is it possible to change sex? Are transgender people and their supporters denying biological reality? Or is there something suspect about popular notions of what makes somebody a man or a woman?" Coming along to a Skeptics in the Pub social is free, though on the nights of guest speakers we appreciate a donation of £3.00 to cover the speakers expenses.
