The organisers would like to invite papers for a parallel session to Seminar Four: The Biographies and Life Course of Sexual/Gender Dissidents. This session is devoted to exploring issues of LGBT ageing and later life. It will include up to 10 short (ten minutes) papers that directly address LGBT ageing and later life. This event will take place 28 May 2010. Contributors will be asked to provide written versions of their papers and these will be compiled in the form of a briefing to be circulated to relevant stakeholders in Scotland. Papers may take any form including:
Papers detailing work from across the UK (and beyond) are invited however the organisers particularly welcome contributions detailing work undertaken in Scotland or with direct relevance to the Scottish context.
We invite abstracts for presentations that will be 20 minutes in length. Deadline for submission is Monday 29 March 2010 Please click here to complete our abstract form for the parallel session Cost This event is free to attend. The organisers are able to meet the travel and accommodation costs of up to 5 UK-based postgraduates per seminar and will help meet the expenses (up to £200) of one international postgraduate per seminar. Selection will be based on the relevance of proposed papers to the seminar theme. Please indicate on your abstract if you wish to be considered for funding.
