Hearts Unspoken - Theatre Review

Hearts Unspoken was performed at The Tron in Glasgow in September 2011. Read reviews from The Scotsman and The Herald

Original post Aug 2010

Hearts Unspoken is going to be a new piece of theatre.

It is going to be based on interviews with people who are claiming asylum because they are gay, and are at risk in their home country.

With Hearts Unspoken we want to tell real stories.

We want to show people what is going on in the world and in the asylum system to gay people.

We want to make a powerful piece of theatre.

Can you help us?

If yes, we would like to hear your story.

We can meet with you or you can email us your story and you can help us in workshops.

If you agree, we may use your story as part of our play, but we will not tell anyone your name and we will make sure no one knows it is you.

We are Sam Rowe and Rachel Jury. Sam is a director and writer and Rachel runs an arts company called conFAB. We have both worked with asylum seekers and refugees before, and care a lot about the way people are treated both in the U.K. and around the world.

Hearts Unspoken will be on at The Tron Theatre in Glasgow in September.
