Dr Marian Duggan, Criminology Lecturer, Sheffield Hallam University

Marian's research interests include feminist theory, gender, sexuality, victimology, and hate crimes. Her doctoral research investigated the ways in which homophobia has been informed and sustained in Northern Ireland, locating lesbians' and gay men's lived experiences of homophobia in Northern Ireland's socio-political history. She is currently focusing her research and publication interests on analysing homophobic hate crime in Northern Ireland as a result of this research.
