Against Lithuania's "Section 28" law

The Lithuanian Law on the Protection of Minors against the Detrimental Effects of Public Information had "Section 28" amendments approved by the Lithuanian Parliament on 14th July 2009. These amendments assert that ‘public information that agitates for homosexual relations’ and that ‘defies family values’ has ‘a detrimental effect on the development of minors’. The effects of the new amendments mean that when they become law, in March 2010, any information on homosexuality will be banned in Lithuania if it can be accessed by young people under 18.
